After I finish a good book..

I always seem to find myself turning the last page and feeling a little as if I have lost a friend. But most of all, I find myself already missing the escapism that the book provided for me. ‘The artistry and the creativity in a story are better than any drugs.’ The unreal is more powerful than the real. Nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. It is only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. As everyone knows.. stone crumbles, wood rots, people.. well, they die. Things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on.. if you can change the way people think, the way they see themselves or the way they see the world. You can change the way people live their lives. That’s the only lasting thing you can create. Personally, I found that when I assemble my own little space and just close the door to it, my creativity becomes immeasurable.

The Music Industry Is KILLING Me Lately..

Good music/real musicians are hard to come across these days..It’s extremely sad to see that ‘artists’ like Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, The Black Eyed Peas, etc. are taking over the music industry with their unoriginal, overplayed, computer-made shit.

..just wanted to get that off my chest. Have a nice day :]

'The Way She Feels'

Recently, I have witnessed something so terrible, I am still at a loss for words. I am not at liberty to say what has happened, but I feel I can at least raise a little more awareness about this issue: self-mutilation.

I wanted to share one of my all time favorite songs by Between The Trees called 'The Way She Feels'.
No song has ever brought me to tears like this does. I have never heard a song so deep, so beautiful, so..powerful in my life--take 3 minutes and 31 seconds out of your busy lives and listen to it (the lyrics are obviously posted below) :]

She's upset
Bad day
Heads for the dresser drawer to
Drive her pain away
Nothing good can come of this.
She opens it theres nothing there
Its only left over tears
Mom and dad had no right she screams
The anger runs down both of her cheeks.

Then she closed her eyes
And found relief in a knife
The blood flows as she cries

All alone the way she feels
Left alone to deal with all the pain-drenched sorrow relief
Bite the lip just forget the bleeding

Then she closed her eyes
And found relief in a knife
The blood flows as she cries [x2]

Curled up she's on the floor
Relief left her she had hoped for something more
From it (hoped for something more)
From it
He leans down to comfort her
She is weeping and He
Wraps His arms around
And around and around and...
The deeper you cut
The deeper I hurt
The deeper you cut
It only gets worse [x2]
Gets worse.

Now she's slowly opening... [x2]
New eyes...

She opened her eyes
And found relief in His life
And put down her knives.

She opened her life
And found relief through His eyes
And put down
She put down her life.

Ps: If you or anyone is going through a rough time in his/her life, there are ways to get help. Reach out to To Write Love On Her Arms or other organizations. Trust me, you're not alone..
and I am always here if you need help, advice, or you just want a friend.

Stay safe, stay healthy and stay strong <3

"Perfect Company" by A Cursive Memory

This song just oozes summer; from the cute, bubbly lyrics to the soft melody. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't summer about relaxing by the pool, having the time of your life with all your closest friends and/or boyfriend/girlfriend, distressing from the hard work that school & work brings upon us & having that one summer romance that most girls dream of? Though 'Perfect Company' is one of the cheesiest love songs written, it puts a smile on my face. Every time I listen to this song, I imagine spending those warm, sunny days with my 'perfect company' <3
